In early 2001, God led Ward and Cheryl Smith to plant a new Fundamental Baptist church in Parker, Colorado. After prayer, fasting, and support from South Sheridan Baptist Church in Lakewood, the Smiths moved to Parker with eleven founding families to begin Grace Baptist Church.

 

The first gathering was held on September 2, 2001, and the first public service followed on September 16 with 68 in attendance. Within one year, the church became independent, and Pastor Smith was officially called as pastor. After meeting for years in a shopping center, God provided 17.9 acres of land in 2005, which was paid off in just five years. In 2012, Grace Baptist purchased its current facility at 10816 S. Parker Road and began renovations to better serve the growing congregation.

 

Today, GBC supports 28 missionary families and continues to grow through discipleship, outreach, and faithful preaching of God’s Word. Our mission remains simple: to glorify God by loving Him and making disciples.
